To further enhance the Eurovision Song Contest experience and to reward the excellence of the participants, this annual award is handed out every year and is named after the man who started this great music event.


These are the three award categories:


THE PRESS AWARD

Best song according to the collective voting of the accredited press.

THE ARTISTIC AWARD

Best artistic performance voted by the commentators of the
participating countries.

THE COMPOSER AWARD

Best composition voted by the participating composers in the final.
